Key Installation Points

Following are the key components & labour that goes into an average bathroom installation:

1. Initial Survey of Bathroom
2. Submit detailed plan and quotation
3. Ordering of materials from suppliers
4. Delivery of materials to Gerlando showroom
5. Delivery of materials to property
6. Dust sheets to area of work and entrance to property
7. Turn main stop tap
8. Take out sink terminate and fit isolation valves
9. Check if W.C. is the only one at property
10. Take out W.C. and fit isolation valve
11. Take out bath and fit isolation valve
12. Take out radiator and fit islotation valve
13. Remove all wall tiles
14. Remove plaster from walls
15. Ensure all pipes are covered to prevent debris damaging pipe work
16. Plaster dab walls
17. First fix shower
18. First fix new pipe work
19. Skim all joints
20. Overboard ceiling
21. First fix electrics
22. Repair where necessary floors / floorboards
23. Remove architrave or replace
24. Allow new plasterwork to dry
25. Fit laser level in preparation for tiling
26. Fit starting bead
27. Tile all walls using 2mm spacers
28. Fit windows / corner beads
29. Fit all tile cuts
30. Allow tiling to dry for 24 hours
31. Grout all tile joints
32. Fit 2mm spacers
33. Polish finished tiling
34. Mount legs to bath
35. Fit taps to bath
36. Fit combination waist to bath
37. Securely screw bath to wall, water tight seal with mildew resistant silicon
38. Fit bath taps
39. Plumb hot and cold feed to bath taps
40. Fit waste 1.5" pipe to soil
41. Mount taps to bath
42. Fit waste to basin
43. Fit basin to wall
44. Fit pedestal to basin
45. Plumb hot and cold to basin taps
46. Fit 1.25" waste and trap to soil
47. Mount cistern for W.C.
48. Assemble W.C.
49. Fit W.C. seat
50. Fit multi quick to soil pipe
51. Securely screw W.C. to floor and wall
52. Electrically wire shower 6 - 10 mm cable
53. Supply water feed to shower
54. Fit shower and pull cord
55. Fit extractor fan
56. Fit 4 spot lights
57. Lay water proof plywood to floor
58. Tile floor using flexi grout
59. Fit accessories - Toiler roll holder, tooth brush holder, soap dish, towel rail
60. Plumb heating pipes
61. Fit and plumb heated towel rail
62. Fit radiator valves
63. Fit bath screen over bath
64. Clean and polish finished bathroom
65. Silicon bath and basin
